Cloudy / Sunny / Cloudy - Clam Beach Baja

12-Sep-2010 - arrive at Clam beach on Sunday after our one night stay at El Rufugo in Punta Banda area heading to La Bufadora. Nice RV Park right on the Estro, but two big dogs and the grounds was soft dirt, hard to keep the dirt out of the RV. The owner was very pleasant and helpful. They every have filtered water onsite only $10 pesos.

30-Sept-2010: We are still staying at Clam Beach, just south 30 min. from Rosartio Beach. today it rained - and chilly. Hoping it will clear up....Beach beautiful - Ran of the beach with Cia yesterday and found a crab and saved him from the Birds. After running one directions on the beach about 1 mile...being the savor that I am...I ran to the other end of the beach to place the crab in the rock area with other crabs - save from the birds.

Working hard and still going!
Changed the publication --> 8.5 x 11 full gloss with B&W inside pages color Cover - Oct 2010 Edition. Went to print 09/28/10, latest print date of us ever.

Cloudy in the morning - Sunny in the Afternoon - Cloudy in the Night

We have been in Vincente Guerrero for about one month getting ready to head North to Clam Beach Resort for 3 - 4 weeks. Posada Do Deigo has been nice and quite, but a dusty little town. Weather and area is much like Ventura; except way TOOO far from the beach here in VG.We have enjoyed a few meals at the resturant and love them all - Read John Story about the Restaurant: Posada Don Diego Sunday Breakfast

Cai and Max are loving the time here - except for the camp dogs (3 boy dogs they suck!). Today 7-Sept-2010 I walk Cia and Max followed us all the around the whole park...silly CAT!
Below is the video we created about the park:

United States, Flag Day is celebrated on June 14

In the United States, Flag Day is celebrated on June 14. It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States, which happened that day by resolution of the Second Continental Congress in 1777.

In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation that officially established June 14 as Flag Day; in August 1949, National Flag Day was established by an Act of Congress.
Flag Day is not an official federal holiday, though on June 14, 1937, Pennsylvania became the first (and only) U.S. state to celebrate Flag Day as a state holiday, beginning in the town of Rennerdale.[1] Title 36 of the United States Code, Subtitle I, Part A, CHAPTER 1, § 110[2] is the official statute on Flag Day; however, it is at the President's discretion to proclaim officially the observance.

One of the longest-running Flag Day parades is held annually in Quincy, Massachusetts, which began in 1952, celebrating its 57th year in 2009.[3] The 59th Annual Appleton Wisconsin 2009 Flag Day Parade will feature the U.S. Navy. City of Appleton Wisconsin. The largest Flag Day parade is held annually in Troy, New York, which bases its parade on the Quincy parade and typically draws 50,000 spectators.[1][4]
Perhaps the oldest continuing Flag Day parade is at Fairfield WA (scroll down to list at #4). Beginning in 1909 or 1910, Fairfield has held a parade every year since, with the possible exception of 1918, and will celebrate the "Centennial" parade in 2010, along with some other commemorative events.

Back Home in San Felipe!

John & I are back in San Felipe - Home Base for us

We arrived in San Felipe a week before the 2010 International Blues and Arts Fiesta www.bluesandarts.com. We worked to get all the last minute marketing for the event. Then enjoyed the fun filled day listening to blues music, viewed some of the best artist in Baja, and enjoyed food and drink through out the day.

For the first time we are going to stay on our El Dorado Property...sooo cool! We have relocated a few of our cactus and bought a great lava rock that John painted our lot number with white and yellow paint. We will be starting to build a small patio and outdoor kitchen to relax and entertain our close friends and family on during these next few months here in San Felipe. Happy to be Home!

Diary - Update San Felipe to Vincente Guerrero

Friday, March 12, 2010
San Ignacio - NO GAS: We're still in San Ignacio. Our plan was to leave today, but we then found out there is no bank and we didn't have enough money for gas. So, we borrowed 200 pesos from our friends, packed up and drove to the gas station only to find there is no gas. We are now at Las Palmas campground waiting for gas to arrive, they said maybe later today, but we know how that can go in Baja. With any luck gas will be here later today and we can get to Guerrero Negro by this afternoon. Our goal is to be in San Felipe next week.

Thursday, March 11, 2010
San Ignacio River & Lagoon: Today we moved from Rice & Beans to a wonderful spot next to the San Ignacio river. We can actually hear the frogs outside on the river bank. We're in the middle of date palm orchard, and it's very quiet. Tomorrow we are going to the lagoon for pictures. We hope to be back on the road tomorrow afternoon on our way to Guerrero Negro.

Thursday, March 10, 2010
Mulege to San Ignacio:Today we arrived at Rice & Beans in San Ignacio. Took us 3 hours from Mulege. Stopped in Santa Rosalia to look for a tire for the RV, the left dually is getting bald. No tires in Santa Rosalia or San Ignacio. Rice & Beans is $250 pesos per night, but has full hookups. We're recharging our batteries and filling and dumping our holding tanks. Tomorrow we will look for something different.

Tuesday, March 9, 2010
Playa Santispac: Tomorrow we'll be leaving Playa Santispac in Mulege and heading to San Ignacio. The beach is beautiful, although we have had lots of wind. Gary and Patricia are going to wait a day before leaving. Today we met our new distributor, she is very excited and has already done an amazing job getting the magazine out to people. When we stopped to visit an RV park to get info for next month RV edition, they already knew us and wanted to advertise.

Loreto - March 3rd

Back in Loreto again...
We have been here for about 5 day from La Paz where stayed for 7 day trying to get our generator serviced...finally we got the the parts and the parts replaced but we need a new carburetor. We decide to wait and get the new generator in Ensenada when we get home.

During our time in Las Barrriles BCS Mexico we saw the sights of Santiago, San Jose del Cabo, and Todos Santos. I will talk about those adventures later...So Back in Loreto and tomorrow on our way to Mulege for a few day of RR on the Beach and play in the water. The Bay of Conception is the first place in Mexico John and I vacationed together. We stayed in the same Palapa that John sister and her boyfriend stayed months before, but did not know until we saw her name carved into one of the post of the Palapa. Then last year we went we meet friend and camped on the beach and had somme great dinner over the camp fire. We hope to do the something next week.

Feb 18, 2010 - Thursday

Feb 18, 2010 - Thursday
We are in Los Barriles BCS Mexico and leaving tomorrow for La Paz. Our time here has been okay...nice place, great clean beaches, windy, & sunny. This is the place all the wind and Kite surfers come to catch the best wind and waves (Small waves)
I am glad to be moving - just worried about money as I always do. This, that and they need to be paid and we nerve have the money all the time.
Today John and I will be working to loose weight together Rachel = 145lb & John = 291 lb. We have to drop 75 lb btw the two of us. John will get a "special" treat for every 10 lb he looses. And will get the treat so long as he maintains his gold weight 230 lb. I will get some new clothes as the others will not fit any longer.

Life! - Hurricane Jimena, RV, Marrage, Baby Boy, & Liamarie.

I have to catch up on all that has happened in the later few months:

Sept - Hurricane Jimena headed for Baja as we were headed to Troy's wedding in Santa Barbara. Damage to many towns but Loreto was okay. Was with our power for a few days and the cats were fine. Our friend Brent watched them when we were got for 10 days for the wedding.

Oct & Nov - Went to San Felipe did the Home show. Got the RV ready for traveling again thanks to Gene Jensen (our 2nd parent).

Dec - Made it to La Paz...nice beaches but where the RV park was, we were too far from town. La Paz has great selections of food and stores but just a bit too city for us. Went to the movies and meet a couple Patricia and Gary (Canadians). We hit it off so good they traveled to Los Barriles BCS with us...then will head north to Loreto, Mulege, and other cities. Then finally to San Felipe for the Blues and they might buy property there - we will see.

Jan - here in Los Barriles...it is okay still more to see. foundout today that we will be having a Baby Boy Grandchild! Troy & Cherise are having a BOY! John guessed it he said "Troy's my boy and they will have a boy" We are very excited! Kathy & Jim sold their house & have to move out by Feb 1st - WOW! Talked to Liamarie - FINALLY - she apologized for being putting us through all she did with telling us to "Stay Out Of Her Life"...Things are going okay and we are happy! Working the area and Los Cabos to grow MLG.

Jan 22, 2010 - John and I are in Los Barriles BCS Mexico for about two more weeks then to Loreto, Mulege, and to San Felipe for the Blues & Arts Fiesta on Mar 27th. After the show we are not sure if we are going to Ensenada or back down south. We are having a good time see the Baja and growing our publication.

We meet a couple from Canada and they are traveling with us back North and might buy property in San Felipe. Sunday we are going to the local hot springs for a relaxing day in the hot water. I think with will pack a lunch and do as little as we can & enjoy the nature.
